3 Ways to Have the Most Beautiful Easter



Easter is the most important holiday for Christians all over the world. If you’re wondering why we have Easter eggs, that’s because the eggs symbolize new life. That represents what happened in Easter—Christ coming back to life and how we are all also given a new life through this event.

Wherever you are and no matter what your traditions and beliefs are, we can all experience the beauty of having a new life this coming Easter.


 1. Learn to live in the NOW.

There are only two things that keep us from living in the NOW—the past and the future.

Which two things are you most guilty of:

Being caught up in the past, in the what if’s and could have been’s of your life?
Or
Worrying about the future, like simply thinking what you will be doing an hour from now, later tonight, or next week when the weekend is over?

A new life is given to us each time we breathe and we can only experience its beauty if we are mentally and emotionally present in the NOW. Don’t let your past and your future rob you of the present.

2. Let go of a heartache.

I’m not just talking about the heartache of a breakup, but all those things, events, and people in your life who may have caused you pain and frustration. When we bury the pain of our failures, frustrations, and anger deep within us, it can keep emotional wounds fresh and bleeding for YEARS! And as you may know, baggages like these can make you sick and physically age you.

Time DOES NOT heal all wounds, unless you make a decision to let go. Find this so difficult to do? Remember that our lives can be taken away at any time from us. We can be gone a few hours from now, tomorrow, or next month. Why waste your precious hours of your life on things that won’t matter on our deathbed?

“Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Almost everything--all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure--these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important.”

3. Have a heart.

Are you successful, rich, or good-looking? Do people look up to you because you’re an authority figure or you’re accomplished? That’s great, but enjoy these gifts with a heart. Be human.

You may remember Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach’s winning answer in the 2015 pageant, she wanted to show the world that she is “confidently beautiful with a heart.”

Have the heart to love not just your loved ones, but people in your life who you may not particularly like or strangers you meet on the street.

Be kind. Speak calmly and use gentle words no matter who you’re talking to and whatever the circumstances may be. When you know you’re boiling inside and are about to snap, STOP. Close your eyes and breathe deeply before you speak. This gives you some time to calm down and think before words come out of your mouth.

Be patient. Don’t grumble when you are being asked to wait or when you fall in line at the MRT or at the grocery cashier. The person next to you is also just as if not more uncomfortable and as tired as you are. Stop complaining when you know these won't accomplish anything but create more trouble and discomfort.

Be forgiving. Forgive relatives, friends or colleagues who may have hurt you. There’s a good chance they didn’t mean to do these and if they did, they probably don’t understand what they’re doing and they’re also coming from a place of pain.

Come to think of it, these are the things that you would do to people you love deeply. That means you're capable of living and loving. Easter is a celebration of love. How will you celebrate yours?
